Lloyds Brexit Transfer
Lloyd’s is proposing to transfer certain EEA insurance policies to Lloyd’s Brussels. The proposed transfer will not change terms and conditions of any policy, except that Lloyd’s Brussels will become the insurer and Data Controller in respect of the transferred policies. Further information about the proposal (including whether it could affect your pre-transfer position), which policies are transferring, your rights and what you need to do can be found at lloyds.com/brexittransfer
Our arrangements for trading in the EU
The UK left the European Union in January 2020 and we are now operating in the planned 11-month transition period, during which the UK ceased to be an EU member but EU insurance laws and regulations continue to apply.
At the end of the transition period, currently scheduled for 31 December 2020, all UK registered insurance intermediaries will lose their automatic rights under EU law to provide services to EU clients. We have therefore taken steps to ensure that our clients with EU risks will continue to be looked after as seamlessly as possible.
Global Risk Partners Intermediary Limited (registered in Ireland with company number 635016) like Atlas Insurance Services is part of the GRP Group and is registered as an insurance intermediary in the Republic of Ireland. Through the involvement of Global Risk Partners Intermediary Limited our team will continue to be able to assist clients with their current and future insurance needs in the EU, providing the same high standards of service as always. Please contact us if you would like to find out more about these arrangements.
